 FULL-TIME PERMANENT CONTRACT

ABOUT THE REGULAR GIVING OFFICER ROLE

A member of the Regular Giving and Donor Services Team, within the
Fundraising Team, the Regular Giving Officer is the dedicated contact
for Cork Simon and South East Simon’s Regular Givers providing them
with an excellent donor experience. Regular Givers donate to Cork
Simon on a monthly basis by different methods; standing order, direct
debit credit/debit card.

The Regular Giving Officer will manage and process monthly donations,
and maintain excellent records of same. The Regular Giving Officer
will provide excellent donor care by sending welcome packs and
acknowledging change requests as appropriate. The Regular Giving
Officer will be the first point of contact for these donors,
responding to any queries they have by phone, email or in person in
the fundraising office. The Regular Giving Officer will implement the
donor journeys for different segments of Regular Givers.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

This role would suit a strong administrator with great relationship
building and customer service skills; someone who will be comfortable
processing monthly donations and handling donor’s banking
information; someone who can work in a busy environment without
compromising on attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

The candidate should be a good communicator and enjoy speaking to
donors, a good phone manner is essential. They should enjoy working on
their own and also enjoy working as part of a team. The role also
requires someone who is comfortable working to KPIs.

The candidate must have a minimum of two year’s experience in one or
more of the following areas would be suitable for this role,
fundraising, customer service, administration. The successful
candidate will have excellent customer service, organisational,
attention to detail, and IT skills. They will have initiative and a
sense of ownership over their work. They will be able to prioritise,
be flexible, manage a varied and changing workload without
compromising on quality or accuracy.

The successful candidate will be supported through their induction to
increase their knowledge and ability to deliver on the
responsibilities outlined here. Further training and ongoing support
will be available.

YOUR ROLE AS A REGULAR GIVING OFFICER

Cork Simon Community is currently seeking a motivated and
detail-oriented individual to join our Fundraising Team as a Regular
Giving Officer. This role focuses on providing excellent donor care
for our Regular Givers, ensuring they have a positive experience while
supporting Cork Simon’s mission through their monthly contributions.
The Regular Giving Officer will be the first point of contact for
Regular Givers, responding to their queries in a timely and
appropriate manner. The Regular Giving Officer will deliver excellent
donor care and carry out related administrative activities to the
highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to
the vital work of Cork Simon while developing your career in donor
care and fundraising administration.

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DONOR CARE: Provide outstanding support to Regular Givers, responding
to queries via phone, email, or in person in a timely manner.

DONOR JOURNEY IMPLEMENTATION: Tailor communications and engagement to
different segments of Regular Givers, ensuring a positive and
personalised donor experience.

DONATION PROCESSING: Manage and process monthly donations through
various methods, including standing order, direct debit and credit
card, with precision and confidentiality.

RECORD MAINTENANCE: Maintain accurate and secure financial records of
Regular Givers using Cork Simon’s CRM.

COMPLIANCE: Ensure compliance with GDPR, the Charities Act, and Cork
Simon’s financial regulations when processing donations and managing
data.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fundraising, customer
service, or administration. Experience handling financial details and
bank account information is a plus.

DONOR CARE SKILLS: Excellent relationship-building and communication
skills, with a proven ability to provide excellent customer service.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL: A strong focus on accuracy and numerical
precision when processing donations and maintaining records.

IT SKILLS: Proficiency in CRM systems, with experience in Salesforce
being desirable.

ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS: Excellent time management, with the ability to
manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

TEAM PLAYER: Ability to work independently while also contributing to
the success of the wider fundraising team.

FLEXIBILITY: Adaptability to changing priorities and manage a busy
workload.
